Please welcome our Awards Ceremony Coordinator, Juan Carrillo.

Juan is from Los Angeles, but was born in Inglewood. Juan didn't originally choose CSULA, he didn't apply for it after high school. He first went to the community college at Los Angeles Trade Technical College and then transferred to CSULA. because it was the closest and most convenient university to his home. His major was originally Computer Science, but he saw all the math he had to take so he opted out to take the easy way and do Computer Information Systems. For Accounting, he told himself it's only 10 extra classes and he actually enjoyed Accounting so that is how he became a dual major.

On his free time, Juan likes to read books. he enjoys reading because sometimes one can become the character and one feels what they feel and you see life through their eyes. It is an escape from reality and it calms me down. He also watches a lot of Netflix and YouTube.

Besides the career goals that most of us have ie  CPA and a great job, he would actually want to just live life and enjoy it to the fullest. Travel the world and try exotic cuisines. He wants to have many experiences and not just be tied down at work all the time.

His favorite quote is " The worse part of holding the memories is not the pain. It's the loneliness of it. Memories need to be shared." - Lois Lowry The Giver'
